what is it?

This plugin utilises the GoogieSpell script to provide Spell Check functionality to WordPress […]

In other words, Corrector allows the author to spell check his/her work without having to leave the Post/Page screen. This plugin installs a quick-tag button into the quick-tag button list that sits directly above the “content” area of your Post » Write Post & Page » Write Page screen. Simply click the “Check Spelling” button for editing.

usage

Go to Admin » Write » Post and write your article as you would normally. When you’ve finished, click “Spell Checker” and allow it to do its job. It’s that easy!

Use your cursor to click on the mis-spelt word and an drop down list will appear offering you similiar words from the language of your choice. Click the correct word and Spell Checker will automatically insert the word into your post, over-riding the incorrect one. If you know your post content is free of spelling errors, click the green check mark against any word Spell Checker thinks is wrong, and it will give the all clear.

limitations

From what I can see there are only two limitations to this incredibly easy plugin.

New Words:
If you use a word the dictionary does not recognise - speciality words as writers we often invent - Spell Check doesn’t offer you the option of Add To Dictionary. Which is a shame because every time you use the word Spell Checker will consider it a misspelling and offer you alternative solutions

Correct All:
If you use a word multiple times in your Post, Spell Checker doesn’t allow global correction. Microsoft Word, for instance, allows global correction (multiple entries) of a word in a document. This plugin does not cater to this quick and easy feature.

Given what the plugin actually does, and how incredibly easy it is to operate, I can overlook the limitations nicely.
